Register now for MTSBA’s Annual Accommodating Individuals with Disabilities Training.  This training is a “must attend” for any trustee or school administrator as disability-related issues are an area of high risk for any public school. 


January 14, 1:00-3:00 p.m. | Understanding IDEA – Ensuring Compliance and Best Practices: Dive into the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) with a comprehensive session covering child find provisions, evaluations, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), and discipline of IDEA students. Learn about common pitfalls and how to avoid them to protect your district and students.

January 21, 1:00-3:00 p.m. | Navigating Section 504 – Accommodations and Risk Management: Explore the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, focusing on accommodating students and staff with disabilities. This session will provide insights into the latest 504 regulations and offer strategies to manage and mitigate disability-related claims effectively.

January 28, 1:00-3:00 p.m. | ADA in Action – Implementing Effective Public School Policies: Gain a thorough understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its implications for public schools. This session will cover ADA requirements for school employees and public accommodations, ensuring your district is fully compliant and inclusive.
