Why This Training Matters: In a landscape where financial constraints and staffing shortages are becoming the new norm, the traditional approach of rushing through collective bargaining is no longer sufficient. As we face increasing challenges, meaningful dialogue and a solid strategy are paramount. This training not only equips you with the essential tools for effective negotiation but also fosters an environment where constructive discussions around difficult topics can thrive.
Who Should Attend:
- Trustees: Gain a comprehensive understanding of collective bargaining agreements, their implications, and costs.
- Administrators: Learn what strategies are effective "in the trenches" and which ones are not, to drive positive change.
- School Business Officials/District Clerks: Acquire the skills to accurately assess financial impacts and articulate these changes clearly to stakeholders.
Key Topics Covered:
- Bargaining Process: Learn the rules, styles, and tools essential for effective negotiations.
- Bargaining Under Pressure: Tackle difficult issues and challenging personalities while implementing necessary changes.
- Understanding Attainment Levels: Prepare for anticipated changes in the 2025 Legislative Session and strategies to embrace them.
