The workshop will cover the following areas:

The Basics (Bring your phone)

For those that have never bargained in MT we will cover the basics of collective bargaining and provide the fundamental information you need to understand how to bargain in good faith in Montana. For those that have heard it all before – prepare for a fun interactive test to see just how much you know!

Advanced

The threat of concerted activity as a result of bargaining is becoming all too common. The feeling of being over worked, under paid is spilling over to not only at the bargaining table but in social media.  What rights do union have when it comes to concerted activity…what rights does management have?  Speech…can an employee really say that on Facebook/Tic Toc?

STARS Act Round II

The STARS Act is here to stay and the need to stay in compliance remains.  How does a district stay in compliance while bargaining with senior teachers who may feel like they got the short end of the stick during the last go around.

Members of our Labor Relations Maintenance Program have access to this training at no charge. The fee for this training is $150 per person or $600 for the unlimited district option for districts that are not a part of this program.
